Young Woman Who Ate Candy For Breakfast Notices Hair Falling Out, So She Completely Transforms

Tara Coltman-Patel, a 23-year-old Ph.D. student, juggles school, work, exercise, clean eating, and a huge Instagram following.

Years ago, Tara spent most of her time eating junk food and sitting around. She was stressed, hated what she looked like, and her hair even started falling out.

When she saw an unflattering Christmas photo of herself, she vowed to change her life. She stopped eating candy bars for breakfast and instead turned to clean eating.

She told Daily Mail, “The moment I saw the photo was awful and I hated the sight of myself. However it was also the moment that I decided enough was enough and if I was ever going to be happy again, I had to change my lifestyle.”

Tara completely overhauled her diet, switching from frozen foods to fresh, healthy foods. She aimed to keep her meals affordable, and now she shares her recipes with her 40,000+ followers on Instagram.

In early January, 2017, Tara posted this photo, captioning it, “3 years ago I was deeply unhappy and I blamed my weight and the way that I looked. I thought I needed a thigh gap, I thought I needed abs and I thought I needed to be perfect to be happy.

“Today, three years later, I have none of those things yet I am the happiest I’ve ever been. I’m the happiest I’ve ever been because I have something that is so much better than a low body fat %! Confidence, self-esteem, and zero shame about myself or my appearance.

“I’ve never been prouder of any of my achievements. Believe me when I say that I was the most unmotivated person in the world! So seriously… if I can do it, then so can you! You don’t need to be perfect, sometimes just trying and proving to yourself that you can stick to something is enough to make you feel incredible.”

Doesn’t her food look amazing? Along with exercise, it helped Tara lose 70 pounds!

Tara always encourages her followers to eat healthy and find self-confidence, which is really something everyone can get behind.
