I’m always interested to see how stars like Kim Kardashian West lose weight and diet because I’m always curious if they do anything special or have access to, like, super cool technology that helps them do it. Sadly for my lazy butt, most of the time it’s just honest dedication to diet and exercise.
Well, if there’s one thing that’s true about the Kardashians, it is that they are all dedicated, committed, hard-working people. So, it shouldn’t be a surprise Kim Kardashian lost nearly 70 pounds since giving birth to son Saint West in December.
We’ve been all over her workout routine(orworkout routines) and previous diets, butPEOPLE recently caught up with Kim to discuss everything she’s been doing lately to get and stayhealthy.
Whatever Kim’s been doing must be hard because she looks amazing, but as usual, the reality TV superstar makes it all sound so simple, if not easy.
Kim Kardashian told PEOPLE,
I think dieting is so important to weight loss, whereas, I didn’t really ever think that before. I thought, ‘Oh, I can work out, I can just eat whatever I want.’ But you have to work out all the time.
Yup, diet and exercise are pretty much the keys to her health plan. Kim was reportedly on the Atkins diet (a low-carb diet), hitting the gym around 6 am and consuming about 1,800 calories a day, but she didn’t cut out the foods that make life worth living.
She told PEOPLE,
We eat a lot of fish and turkey.It’s a full modified thing… And there would be this trail mix with M&M chocolates with peanuts, so there was stuff that makes it you feel like you can live. And not like super restricted to anything.
She said she almost lost her way after losing 55 poundsdue toa few too many churros during trips to Disneyland with her kids, but she soon found her way back with the support of Kanye West and her family, and told PEOPLEshe’s now down almost 70 pounds.
So, it seems like the Kim Kardashian guide to diet and exercise is actually pretty simple:
- Find a diet and do it.
- Exercise on the reg, like, really on the reg.
- Don’t cut out all the foods you live for.
- Have supportive people around you.
I’m so inspired that I’m starting my diet plan tomorrow! (On second thought, nahhhhh).
