Losing weight isn’t an easy feat, especially when you’re trying to change your habits and lead a healthier lifestyle. Many of us have setbacks and slip up, sometimes cheating on our diets or not exercising as much as we set out to.

But one dad found the motivation he needed to shed weight at an astounding rate. William Warren lost 60 pounds in 60 days which is virtually unheard of.

He says that his son motivated him. He was in bad health, suffering from herniated discs, diabetes, and high cholesterol. He felt like a failure because he couldn’t do the things he wanted to do with his son. He says that he even spent the entire month of October in bed because he was in so much pain.

But when he heard of a fitness challenge with the potential for a hefty $10,000 prize, he couldn’t resist. It was the perfect opportunity to get in shape. So he started dieting, cutting out sugar and carbs, and working out to reach his goal.

In the 60 days of the contest, the dad lost 60.4 pounds and now looks like a totally different man. If he can do it, it’s proof that the rest of us can! He endedup winning the contest too!

Note: Consultation with a medical professional is advised before taking on any weight-loss regimen.
