2016 was literally the worst, but thankfully 2017 is a chance for a fresh start!

However, after so many disappointments last year, we felt it might be wise to advise you, our Perezcious readers, toward resolutions that could actually be attainable. While many of you are probably eager to pull a Khlo Kardashian and get a Revenge Body, we thought we’d share some ideas which would improve your mind and spirit!

Ahhh, we knew we’d capture your attention. Be sure to ch-ch-check out the top 10 resolutions you can ACTUALLY accomplish this 2017 (below)!

1. Celebrate The Smalls Things

Be proud of the little things you accomplish! Did you build an Ikea shelf or hit a milestone on your Fitbit? Show yourself some love with a treat or #Humblebrag a bit online. It’ll make you feel great, we promise!

2. Keep A Journal

Time flies by so quickly and before you know it you’ve forgotten some funny and/or important memories. We suggest writing in a journal once a day for a year to remember all the good (or even bad) things that’ve transpired.

3. Call Your Loved Ones More

With social media, it might feel like you’re staying in touch with a lot of people — but it really, nothing beats talking to a human person. Try and call an old college roommate, a grandparent, or a former mentor at least once a month!

4. Learn How To Say No

Over committing is a common problem, just look at your Facebook events. Be sure to say no to things you don’t want to do, you’ll be shocked to learn how liberating it can be! We dare you to try it.

5. Take A Class, Any Class

It never hurts to learn a new skill. Whether it’s cooking, dancing, or speaking a new language whatever you choose to learn will likely become a successful skill you can use in the future.

6. Organize Your Living Space

You’d be surprised by the amount of dust and clutter one can collect over the course of a year. Take some time in 2017 to organize your living space — then you’ll have more room for activities!

7. Limit Your Screen Time

Everyone has a smart phone these days, where you can watch Netflix, go on Twitter, and FaceTime anyone. However, don’t let those screens get in the way of you living your life. So we suggest that you cut back on the hours of TV and social media you consume!

8. Meditate

2016 was a garbage fire of a year, so we wouldn’t blame you if you were struggling with some remaining anxiety. By finding your inner peace, you can be more mentally ready to take 2017 by storm!

9. Ask More Questions

Too often, we’re okay with the status quo of things, when in reality we should be challenging the system. If you don’t agree with something, speak your mind, OR become more informed on the topic! It never hurts to be in the know!

10. Get To Know Your Representatives

The presidential election may be over but ALL of the Congressional seats and 33 of the United States Senate‘s seats will be contested in 2018. If you are eager to make real change call your representatives, get to know them, and figure out if you want to re-elect them in the near future!

What do YOU think? Will you pick any of these resolutions?

SOUND OFF in the comments (below)!
